I am a qualified primary school teacher and work as a year 1 classteacher by day; I have been teaching drumkit and tuned percussion for over 20 years and during that time I have worked as an independent teacher, a peripatetic percussion teacher in schools and as a percussion teacher with youth orchestras and brass bands.
As well as my own drum kit and percussion school in Bradford I am a resident drum kit teacher at RAW studios in Halifax, West Yorkshire.

I teach drum kit and orchestral percussion lessons to students of all ages and abilities from beginner to advanced levels. Lessons are tailored to the needs of the individual from playing for fun to sitting graded drumkit and percussion exams.

I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to study with some of the world's top drummers and percussionists and take every opportunity to continue my own studies to find new ideas to pass on to my own students.

I have been playing drumkit and percussion for 30 years and have a wide range of playing experiences: orchestras, windbands, brass bands; big band jazz; musical theater; bierkellar and cabaret, and have made several stage appearances in the role of drummer in the play 'Brassed Off'.
