Throughout his career Neil has toured and recorded with artists such as Del Shannon, Archie Bell and the Drells, Percy Sledge, The Chi-Lites, Peter Cox (Go West), Mark Shaw (Then Jericho) Steve Norman (Spandau Ballet) and has been a session musician on many television and radio broadcasts. Neil was also a member of the world famous Jimmy Barnes Band and can be heard on the albums ‘Psyclone’ and ‘The Best of Jimmy Barnes’ and also on the single ‘Change Of Heart’. I provide graded work and practice, but also the experience that inspiration and self-teaching are crucial. There are many ways to learn, and private tuition lets me tailor the lesson to you. Music & Experience:
Born in Sardinia (Italy) in 1979, I started playing drums at the age of 12. I studied at the Birdland Music School with great musicians such as Fabrizio Sferra, Massimo Moriconi and Danilo Rea. In 1999, I went to the University of Music in Rome and graduated in 2001. During the 2003 Umbria Jazz Berklee summer course, I had the opportunity to learn from well-known Berklee College teachers and attended master classes of wonderful artists including Bobby McFerrin and Elvin Jones. The same year, I won a scholarship to enter the Berklee College of Music. Since 1995, I have been collaborating with many musicians in various pop, rock, funk and jazz projects in Sardinia and Italy. I played for the "Orchestra Jazz della Sardegna" in 1998 and played with Umberto Smaila in Egypt in 2004. My trio Jellyfish and I have also had the chance to play with the fantastic Italian saxophone player Tino Tracanna and the Canadian singer Rita di Ghent. I am a recording session drummer in Sardinia and I have been working in studios for different bands like Tazenda, Bertas or Cento. I am also an experienced teacher and have been providing lessons at all levels both privately and in schools since 2003. I spent the year 2008 in London to achieve a Master Performance at the Drumtech and received the Trinity Guildhall ATCM Performance Diploma.

I've been doing music since around 2000, I play 7 instruments but drums I've been playing since around 2002 (my second but most practised instrument), videos can be seen of my playing @ the youtube provided above. This is what I like playing but not 'all' I play/teach - I teach what the student wants - I'm not going to force you to learn sheet music if you don't want to/nor teach you styles you don't like etc I will teach what I think is best to you and if you want to do something else/anything in particular, that'll be what we learn. It's all about what the student wants. I charge £20 an hour, am based in Rainham, Kent (South East) and I don't do home visits for the time being - lessons are conducted at my home.
