I am a professional drummer and teacher with over 20 years experience. Having graduated from Leeds College of Music in 2011 with a first class honours in Jazz performance, I currently teach over 40 students per week from beginner through to university level. I’m passionate about teaching and enjoy seeing students progress and build confidence.

I try to tailor lessons to the preferences and needs of each individual. I’m always happy to step back to allow students to work certain things out, but equally I can bring a more strict approach if preferred. I offer a wide variety of lesson content including:

• Exploring multiple styles of music from rock through to jazz, brazilian and afro cuban
• Developing technique and rudimental playing
• Working with a click track/metronome
• Exercises to develop independence and co-ordination
• Developing sight reading
• Working through grades 1-8 (if desired)

Whatever the student is looking for I’m happy to accommodate, even if their only desire is to learn their favourite tunes. Lessons take place at my home studio in Bramley, Leeds. Regular slots are currently available on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Lessons are £40 per hour. Feel free to get in touch.
