James is a graduate of the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford where he studied drums and Contemporary Music. Since graduating James has set up his own tuition business with a purpose built drum studio. James teaches all ages and abilities and has a great pass record with the Rockschool examination board. Students can learn from a wide range of musical styles and develop their playing in a fun and relaxed environment. Typical beginner lessons include; Stick Control Groove Development Improvisation Learning to play your favorite songs Intermediate and Advanced; Further rudimentary studies Co-ordination development Beat Displacement Stick patterns and groove structure Funk/Jazz/Latin/New Orleans studies Playalongs and backing tracks James is CRB checked and is a member of the Musicians Union.
