Lessons with Brian were always fun and relaxed, and he always challenged me to look at material with different approaches and applications.  It is this diverse and holistic approach to drumming along with his enjoyment of drumming as a whole that helped me through my grade 8 and into my music performance degree alongside a post-grade 8 diploma in drum kit performance.  I have now worked alongside a number of notable musicians both on the stage and in the studio; but I also work as a drum tutor, and regularly draw on the advice and approaches from Brian to help and inspire my own pupils.

Biog

Hi my name is Brian Bestall and I have been a professional musician and teacher for over 20 years.

I grew up in a musical family surrounded by musical instruments, the one instrument missing was the drums so naturally that was the one for me.

I am a Musicians Union member & registered teacher

My lessons are individually tailored to your age, ability and aspirations, be it for fun, to help improve your technique or in preparation for music college.

BEGINNERS - ADVANCED:

I am currently accepting a limited number of new private students from beginners to advanced.

Lessons are on a 1-1 basis and will be delivered in your home.

WHAT TOPICS WILL I COVER?

We will cover everything from tuning your drums, rudimental studies, gaining an appreciation of rock, pop, funk, latin and jazz all neatly tied up with nationally recognised exams if that's your goal.
