Amber Valley Drum School was started by David Fletcher in order to bring drum tuition to the Notts / Derbys border area. David began teaching in 1991 both in schools and privately, and covers Rockschool drumkit exams grades 1 to 8. In addition to drum kit tuition, David also draws on his military band experience and teaches marching, military, and orchestral snare drum. Lessons are held at our newly refurbished studio in Langley Mill, which offers excellent facilities and equipment including Roland V-Drums. We make full use of play along backing tracks, and ensure that lessons are fun! Beginners to advanced players of all ages are welcome.

Played with London based cabaret band at many of the capitals top venues including gigs at the Dorchester hotel as well as at the Evening Standard Film Awards at the Savoy Hotel. Military band credits include performing at many of Europes largest tattoos inc Berlin Military Tattoo, British Military Tournament / Royal Tournament at Earls Court, and Horse Guards parade, London. Performed on Various recordings from jazz to pop and military.
