Rich Kenyon has been a professional freelance drummer since 1995. He has performed & recorded consistently in a wide variety of styles, including Jazz (small & Big Band), Latin Fusion, Progressive & Heavy Rock, Pop, Funk, Soul, Disco and Folk. He has toured in the U.K & Europe and has supported artists including Carl Palmer, Ezio, Spandau Ballet, Noel Redding & many more. He is also a composer and released an acclaimed album of instrumental music in 2011.
His great experience in many styles of music and working situations, in conjunction with his personal drum studies with top world drummers including Gavin Harrison, Dave Weckl, Steve Smith & Peter Erskine, has helped him formulate a thorough program of study for drum students.
All modern drum techniques are covered: Double-bass drumming; Odd Time Signatures; Polyrhythmic & PolyMetric studies, as are foundational techniques in Rudiments, Brush Playing, Sight Reading & Notation and all the musical styles a modern player needs.
He has nearly 20 years experience teaching drummers of all ages & ability levels, not only privately but also in schools & colleges throughout Cheshire.
