In a professional career spanning over 30 years, Paul has established himself as one of Europe’s leading drummers and is highly respected as a player, clinician and educator.

His playing and recording credits include internationally renowned artists Shaun Baxter, Frank Gambale, Guthrie Govan, Stu Hamm, John Wheatcroft, and Richard Niles plus many others.

As a clinician, Paul has performed extensively throughout the UK and Europe, and has shared the stage alongside other world-class drummers such as Steve Smith, Manu Katche, Simon Phillips, Akira Jimbo, Mark Mondesir, Gary Husband, Gary Chaffee, Steve Houghton and Erik Smith. 

Formerly Head of Drums at Drumtech (Tech Music Schools), Senior Lecturer at the London College of Music and Lecturer at the Academy Of Contemporary Music, Paul currently teaches private lessons and group courses in his North East Studio.

Paul has a Masters Degree in Music (London College of Music) and regularly acts as a consultant to other leading music education establishments, including the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and The Academy of Music & Sound group of schools.
