After his first drum lesson in 1990 at the tender age of 9, Matt has been hooked on playing the drums. Over the years he has studied with Tunbridge Wells' legend, Jez Owen and Drumsense founder, Colin Woolway. He has played drums for many people over the years spanning a wide variety of genres. He has worked as a session player for Point Blank College a number of times, Gary Barnacle (Sax player) and currently plays for George Martin's very own Dan Clews. He has recorded in some of London's finest studios including The Assault & Battery 2, The Square and The Garden and has recently set himself up with recording facilities of his own. His drum lessons are structured, varied and always fun. Students can choose to learn grades if they wish - so far Matt has a 100% pass rate! As an alternative to grades, Matt offers the Backbone Drums syllabus which is very comprehensive and up to date. Lessons take place at his purpose built studio in very convenient location in Tunbridge Wells.
