I have been a touring musician since the mid 1980s, playing alongside a wide variety of acts from musicals to pop to country, blues and rock. I have played venues from the smallest club to Wembley Arena and travelled to many countries across Europe and beyond. I'm still a professional working musician playing both drums and percussion.

I have receive lessons from one of the country's most highly regarded tutors Lloyd Ryan. I also attended DrumTech in London.
I started teaching in 1995. This year (2013) I opened my own facility in Chatham, a purpose built studio for 1-1 drum tuition. Students  wanting to achieve certificated grades can be guided through Rockschool and Trinity College Rock and Pop. Our staple is the excellent Lloyd Ryan publication "The Complete Drum Tutor" This is so versatile it can be used for all ages and abilities, kit and solo snare drum. We believe it is a must have!
Our equipment is all first class Mapex drums and Paiste Cymbals. We have two studio acoustic kits, one is standard size and putting the pupil first, we have a smaller sized kit for juniors. There is also an electronic kit on site.
We offer a free thirty minute trial lesson to all.
At Medway Drum Studio we offer drum clinics for your school, college or music retail establishment. These are entitled Starting On Drums and are aimed at the beginner using Mapex entry level equipment. The clinic explains all the important basics: hearing protection, practice, time and dedication. All while having fun.
