My music career began at the age of ten where I  started playing drums and writing music. Throughout High School I performed with a number of School bands then went on to study music at College, obtaining a Distinction in Popular music and recording.

I graduated from Salford University with BA HONS degree in Popular music and recording with a 1st in Composition and performance, Here i formed my band Incassum as apart of a performance module. With Incassum I have co-wrote, recorded and released (through Rocksector Records) two albums, both of which have received praise from national press like Kerrang magazine and Metal Hammer Magazine. Incassum have been on three UK and Ireland tours, played festivals like bloodstock Open Air and have two music videos.

As an individual musician I have recorded at some prestigious studios like Parr street studios in Liverpool and Lisa Stansfield’s studio, Graciland.  I am gaining a good reputation as session drummer and have recorded many artists including Sami Yusufs guitar player John Lawton.  For the launch of my own indvidual website johncurrandrums.com I recorded and produced 5 drum videos to promote me as a drummer and composer. As a marketing campaign i released one video everyweek for 5 weeks.

John and his friend Paul O Connor have set up there own online business SessionDrumsOnline.com. It is an online session drums service aimed at Bands, Artists, Composers and Producers. It provides high quality custom drum tracks, drum transcriptions, drum loops and a drum programming service.

As well as being a co-writer in Incassum, I am very passionate in composing music for TV and Film. I have scored a short film, a nature documentary and pitched an advert for onthebeach.co.uk.

Performing live is a huge passion of mine, avergaing 100 shows a year. I tour with Incassum and regularly perform live with a professional Function band. In my career I have played live alongside John Power (TheLas/Cast) Blaze Bailey ( Formely Iron Maiden) Dave Evans ( Formely AC/DC) Slayer and Lamb of God.
