I have been playing the drums for 15 years. I have played almost every imaginable style both live and in the studio. I specialise in Jazz, Funk, Pop and Rock. I am particularly good at helping students understand complex time signatures. I have had much success working with beginners. I have a unique approach to teaching the fundamentals of rhythm, which makes it fun and progressive. I specialise in teaching beginners onwards of any age. I feel it is important to discuss and incorporate musicology into my teaching, I feel it is imperative for the drummer to be prepared to be able to play in part of an ensemble or band so my teaching focuses much on this. I have a degree from the Leeds College of Music and I am fully CRB checked. I will travel to you, rates are £12 per half hour or £20 an hour.
