My name is Al Branton, I am a professional drummer, drums teacher, percussionist and composer. I have 18 years' experience, acquired with the support of world-class musicians like Pete York, Chester Thompson, Luis Conte, Ricky Lawson and Mark Schulman, to name a few.
I also hold a diploma from London's renowned Tech Music School (part of BIMM).
In my professional career, I had the pleasure of touring with crossover folk artist Ruth Theodore, playing festival venues such as the Larmer Tree (near Salisbury) and Shambala (Northamptonshire). Currently, I’m a member of versatile rock band The Freedom Police.

All this experience I can put at your service, whether you want to just learn the basics or more advanced techniques. Thanks to my playing keyboard and guitar, my lessons are not just about playing drums, but also about the ability to be part of a tightly knit unit, to be a very good and confident listener and to improvise.
