James teaches a wide variety of styles from ages six upwards on a one to one basis with well structured lessons adapted to suit the student, whilst keeping a fun approach at all times. Lessons are available online via Zoom or Skype and in person at his home studio.

Students having never played drums before can expect to be playing simple drum patterns by the end of the first lesson. From there, students can develop their skills and hone their own playing styles with various options including: 

• Groove and fill development
• Learning new styles and genres 
• Timing and click track work
• Rudiments
• Exam preparation with Rockschool or Trinity Rock and Pop (100% pass rate)
• Music theory and reading 
• Technique and posture, 
• Soloing and Musicality

James is DBS checked and works in local schools alongside his private lessons and teaching for Solihull Music Service.
