About Gareth Grover

Gareth is a highly experienced performer and teacher - offering one-to-

one drum kit and percussion lessons, either in-person or remotely via

Zoom (high-spec video/audio set-up) - All students welcome, regardless

of age or ability - UK Top 10 charting artist, globally touring performer

bringing his wealth of experience to bear on his teaching.

Gareth is a freelance session drummer, percussionist and music educator.

The last 10 years has seen him on the drum throne behind British rock band

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes; performing on the band’s four UK Top 10

charting albums, gracing incredible venue and festival stages like London’s

Alexandra Palace, Brixton Academy and The London Stadium, as well as

festivals like Reading/Leeds & Download Festivals (UK), Rock Am Ring (DE),

Shaky Knees & Welcome To Rockville (US).

Alongside his performance career, Gareth maintains a busy teaching

schedule, delivering 1-2-1 lessons, masterclasses and panel discussions

about drumming, session work, touring life and the music industry as a

whole. Lessons are open to all students, regardless of age or ability - Gareth

teaches beginners to touring professionals and even serving Royal Marines

Band Service members.

Teaching approaches can stretch from formal Graded studies following

Rockschool or Trinity College programmes, through in-depth technique and

rhythm concept studies, to more informal and fun song studies with

whatever your individual goals are in mind. Gareth’s outlook in both

performance and teaching draws on his wide experience in all areas of

drumming.

Touring across the globe performing sellout headline shows in the UK,

Europe, Australia and the USA; Gareth has also had the honour of

supporting the likes of the Foo Fighters, Bring Me The Horizon, Maribou

State and Biffy Clyro, as well as on show billings alongside Metallica, Queens

Of The Stoneage, Korn, Nine Inch Nails and a host of other legendary bands.Gareth’s studio session work has most recently seen him recording for an

eclectic list of artists from Noahfinnce, through Pixie Lott, to Remember

Monday (UK Eurovision entry 2025), as well as projects like his Snake Beats

sample & loop pack for ‘Drum Drops’ and many other remotely recorded

artist sessions from his home studio.

Gareth is DBS checked and takes safeguarding issues very seriously. Through

his years of teaching in schools with the Hertfordshire County Music Service,

and in numerous other school environments, he is fully aware of his role and

responsibilities regarding safeguarding.

Gareth proudly endorses Gretsch drums, Paiste cymbals, Remo heads, Vic

Firth sticks and Protection Racket cases.
