I have been drumming since the age of 8 and teaching even whilst still
at school from the age of 13! Brought up on a diet of jazz funk and
world music, in this time I have gained a great deal of experience both as a
musician playing in local dub band Solko (along with other outfits) and
as a drum teacher.
My young age allows me to relate to younger pupils of any age and teach
both the skills and knowledge they need to play drums in a range of
different styles in a contemporary and relevant fashion. But I have
also taught students as old as 70! (You're never too old to enjoy an
instrument!) Lessons are taught adaptively and to each players unique
styles and interests along with general techniques, styles,
improvisation, rudiments, time-keeping and sight reading skills up to a
Rockschool grade 8 standard (if required).

Those wishing to learn and specialise in more specific musical genres
are also welcomed, such as reggae, dub, world beat, jazz-breakbeat,
drum and bass & electronic styles etc.

I am based in both Halesworth (Suffolk) and Norwich (Norfolk) and home
visits are available.
